Country Song

"Well I can't stand to look at you now
This revelation's out of my hands
Still I can't bear the thought of you now
This complication's leaving me scared
Stay when you think you want me
Pray when you need advice
Hey, keep your sickness off me
Trying to get through"
--Seether

I haven't posted in awhile and I have a perfect opportunity/reason to now! Ironically, The Punisher was on T.V. today; I haven't had a chance to ever watch it but I know that a Seether song is featured in it, so I've always wanted to. While I was watching it I kept thinking "Man, I'm really anxious to hear something new from them." Later on in the night I got an email from their newsletter thing saying the new single had been released and that it was available for download on iTunes. Naturally, I was listening to it within a few seconds. I was a little weary about the fact that its titled "Country Song." It starts off with a country vibe but gets back to the bands basics through the chorus. I really like it and this will hopefully tide me over until I get to see them live on April 23rd.

Hit So Hard

"He's so cold give me my candy coat
He can't swim but he can float."
--Hole
(aka Courtney Love, just for Sarah)

There are quite a few events coming up that I am stoked about; here they are in the order that I randomly remembered them in:
Edgefest (Seether is playing!)---April 23rd
After Lately (Chelsea's new show on E!)---March 6th
Dad's 52nd Birthday--March 26th
Spring Break--That same week
Seether's New album released---unspecifically, MAY
Charlaine Harris' new Sookie Stackhouse novel "Dead Reckonin"---May 3rd
My non-legitimate un-love child Jackson's Birthday---March 19th
My 20th birthday---May 21st.
Book: Lies Chelsea Handler Told me----Eventually

There are a lot of things I'm looking forward to, and hopefully waiting won't kill me; I have a few things in mind that would probably do me in before hand. Reckless driving is one of them :)

Someone Like You

"Sometimes it lasts in love,
but sometimes it hurts instead."
--Adele

I'm very disappointed in myself because I have to admit that I have grown tired of the photo challenge. Not only do I not have time to post something every day, but I saw that a similar challenge was leaked onto Facebook so I feel like this has lost some of its validity. It was a good idea and its totally my fault for not finishing it before Facebookers started making it extra gayyy. I might still choose to take a few of the prompts and do them on random days.

Today was an interesting day, of sorts. I spent the weekend in Batesvegas and was on my way home to dear old BK this morning only to get stopped by a dick-hole copper. He stopped me solely because my window tint was very illegal. For those of those who understand the window tint measurement system, my windows are 5%. I call them "mind your own business windows," and they are my favorite thing about my car. Not only do I have to get rid of my beautiful shading, I got written a fancy little citation and have to go to court over it. Of course my first thought was the rational "what am I going to wear to this red carpet courthouse event?" I remembered that its only in Bald Knob and that jeans would be acceptable. In the words of my second mother who had a birthday today (she's 39 again this year) "hell you could wear pajama pants and fit right in." How do I get myself into these shenanigans? I will leave this with the statement that I did not whisper as the cop was leaving my window and yes it was still rolled down, "What the fuck?"

Well Thought Out Twinkles

"now here we are revisiting a time a place a whole industry
well we promise we'll be leaving soon."
--Silversun Pickups

Post a picture of something that is having a big impact on your life right now.
Because I'm a rather boring individual....my new phone is the most interesting thing I've got to impact on my life.

Simple Kind of Life

"And all I wanted was the simple things
A simple kind of life."
--No Doubt

Post a picture of someone who inspires you.
I could've went the traditional way but I just couldn't do it. Molly Shannon (Supastarrr) is flipping hilarious.

Melatonin

"My brain doesn't produce any
I'm soaring without anything."
-Silversun Pickups

I'm a little bit behind on the photo challenge. Just a wee bit. I've been pretty busy lately and I now have some free time so I'm going to catch up!
Post a picture of something you want to do before you die.
My picture is of Santorini, which is in Greece. Most people want to see Vegas, London, or Paris, (the usual places) but I really want to go to Greece. I've only seen movies/pictures but it looks so beautiful. Hopefully, one of these days I will make it to somewhere other than Branson!

Landslide

"Till the landslide brought me down."
--Fleetwood Mac

Post a picture of someone you could never imagine your life without

That would be this man here, my padre. I have this thing where I like to take pictures of him when he least expects it so he's always wearing a goofy expression. I find it hilarious. Both my parents are great, but Dad's my chief person. He (usually) supports what I do and the decisions I make. If I make a mess of things, he gives me my space to clean it up. He's a little overprotective but I'm his little girl so I try to go easy on his letting go issues. He always tells me how he wishes that I was still a baby so he could have more time in the days where he was the most important person in my world. I was the little kid who ran down the gravel road in my bare feet and red nightgown because he didn't take me to work one day. Yes....I did that. He sometimes doesn't realize that even though I have class, friends, and all that other stuff we do from day to day, that when its all said and done, I still live in this house with him. He takes care of me, I take care of him.
